For pistol courses: a handgun in good working order, at least 2 magazines, 50–100 rounds of factory ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection. CCW students must bring a valid Missouri ID. Rental equipment may be arranged — contact OXYS in advance.
If a class does not reach minimum enrollment by 7 days before the scheduled date, OXYS will reach out directly to discuss rescheduling options. No penalty — your spot is never charged until confirmed.
After passing the OXYS CCW course, OXYS issues your certificate of completion. You then apply through your county Sheriff's office, submit your certificate, pass a background check, and pay the state fee.
Yes — OXYS welcomes first-time shooters. Completing the NRA Basic Pistol course first is strongly recommended to build a solid foundation before the CCW qualification.

U.S. Law Shield is a legal defense membership that covers attorney fees if you're involved in a lawful self-defense incident. As a partner instructor, OXYS can provide information in class.
Classes are intentionally small — typically 3–12 students. This ensures every student gets personal attention and real range time.
